Project Revive Matte Stripes = Success !!

Ok guys. So the other day, I was looking at my matte flat lack stripes from the factory and finally realized that I could not take any longer how terrible they looked. Just to give you guys some background knowledge, My car is 3 years old. When it was around 1/2 a year old, I waxed my car for the first time using Mothers Caranuba Wax. Not knowing that waxing matte stripes would damage them, I went ahead and waxed them. Then over the following marks, I could see that they had swirls in them and wax reside. Realizing that, I did not wax them ever again to this day.

So now, 2 years later, I started to notice the wax build up a lot more and wanted a fix to it. I searched up the forums here on Camaro5 and came across the technique used by Adams Polishes. So I contacted Nick at Adams to get more info on this technique. The method used was to apple Brilliant Glaze on the stripes and then wipe the excess off. Then after that, apply Super VRT and then wipe the excess off.

Lets just say that I am now hooked on Adams! These were the first products I ordered and man was I amazed. Just after I applied the Brilliant Glaze, my stripes were back to life. It didnt even need the Super VRT but I did it anyway so I can get the protection. I started on the back stripes which were small and as soon as I was done applying the Brilliant Glaze on the driver side stripe, I looked at the applicator and was amazed of all the dirt that the Brilliant Glaze lifted off my stripes (keep in mind I had just finished cleaning the car). I am truly amazed, and just finished ordering a whole set of goodies from Adams!!

Here are some pictures of before anything was applied to show you how messed up my stripes were.Name: IMG_4398_zpsec771b84.jpg

Now here are pictures of the driver side stripes completed (Brilliant Glaze followed by Super VRT). Didnt take pictures of the Brilliant Glaze by itself because I didnt want to keep on taking the car in and out of the garage.

I want to thank Nick at Adams for helping me out with this project. I am completely amazed with how well these products worked on the stripes and brought them back to life. I am looking for a long future with Adams

Glad I could help Mike, HUGE turnaround on those stripes!

They were definitely due for some TLC. Thanks for posting the pics!

Thanks guys. I was even amazed when I only applied the Brilliant Glaze. They were all cleaned up. I didnt even need the VRT but that is the main product that will protect them. Well made product! I cant wait to use the Brilliant Glaze on my paint

Looks good. Turtle wax ICE also works great on the stripes and takes about 2 minutes. Wipe on wipe off.

No problem And trust me, the Brilliant Glaze and the Super VRT will go a LONG way! I did the stripes and I barely lost anything in the bottle. Plus, the Brilliant Glaze can be used on the paint as well and I heard that it works amazingly. And the Super VRT can be used for trim around the car as well as tires!
