Did you see those impressive dyno numbers? I don't think its holding anything back power wise.

Hey guys, the numbers are the numbers. We know how to dyno and test cars down the track and have gone thru this drill a lot in the past 20 years. I even thought that maybe we had some bad fuel but our tuner said that he never saw any knock on the dyno. I am guessing that the power will come up once the motor is broken in. I would expect more like 485 rwhp from a stock ZL1 automatic car.

116 mph was with some heat soak. I would expect to see closer to 120 mph on a cooler day and no heat soak.

I will be interested to see what others are able to get. So far these are the numbers we are seeing from a bone stock automatic ZL1.

FYI, the car has less than 200 miles on it. We usually see a gain of 15 rwhp from LSA motors once they get past 1500 miles.

Especially the 1.8 time. I figured some DRs would be high 11s.

BUT, it's with 20 inch wheels and DRs. Plus it's just a few times. Might be getting better with the launch.

We ran the car aggressively but probably not on "full kill" as this is a customer's car. I am sure that a pair of MT drag radials would be even quicker.

some thing has to be wrong with this info.

how does a car with SAE580 hp dyno with 567whp.

I think more will come to light. wold like to see another car run same day to see how that track is running.

Interenet racer's forget some track days are on the slow side for various reasons.

the 60' is not that bad though so baring some kind of issue with the car or just being an off day for that track this is a letdown to some extent. I have always been nervous that the car was too heavy but it should throw down the same times as a CTS-v does.

What?

Those numbers seem HIGH, not low.

Stock is 580 at the crank.

I just don't see how you can say you would expect 585... are you calculating what you feel the drive train loss would be? As I stated in my last post... we just did a cts-v (auto) last week on a mustang dyno which tend to pull lower numbers and he did 461 with a tune and CAI. A dyno jet should not be 100 rwhp higher.

That sounds about right - mid 12s bone stock in good weather, very low 12's with traction.

I don't see how so many think this is going to be an 11 sec car bone stock. Check the weight. That will take more boost and traction.

Stick times with a mediocre driver will really get ugly on stock tires.

Agreed. I just figure with some good DRs on an 18" wheel set-up it could hit the very high 11s.

If this car really had 560rwhp it would trap a hell of a lot higher than ~116. Must have something to do with the trans ratios etc messing with the dyno. Not sure...but no way it is running like 560rwhp.
