ECM REPLACED?
So curious to know how many ZL1 owners have had the ECM replaced
Is you ZL1 stock or Modded?

Mine was one of the first that I recall for the ZL1's that had to have the ECM replaced, here is my original thread:

I had to have mine replaced. When I would shut the car off, a relay in the underhood fuse box (can't remember which one, sorry) would start to chatter. Turns on the PCM was bad and they had to replace it under warranty. I believe this happened last summer on my 2012 with about 15,000 miles on it.

Mine was replaced at 5400 miles. there was a thread about this most have been changed at least the 2013's

Mine was replaced at <200 miles....car would not start intermittently. If you let it rest overnight...it would start fine...Wasn't a good introduction to the car but I am over 2000 miles now and loving it, with no further issues.

Mine was replaced last week 7500 miles. Car died on the highway and wouldn't restart.

Mine is being replaced today. Last Friday night, on my way home from work, at 30MPH I downshifted into 2nd to take turn, and the car went boooom(literally)! It started bucking, blue smoke from the front and back of the car. The dealership called yesterday and told me that the freeze frame data showed that the injector for cylinder #2 had stuck open. GM Techline told them to replace the engine ECU. now to find out what else it broke. Bent rod, damaged O2 sensor, cat? We shall see.

My 2015 with less than 600 miles is getting the PCM replaced today. I shut the car off and ran in the store yesterday, came out and started it, and it started bucking like a bronco. It was missing, and showed reduced engine power. I let it sit for a few minutes, started it up and it ran fine. I drove it to the dealership with the check engine light on.
My Z06 was at the dealership for over 40 days with issues they never could figure out. And now this. Come on GM....

I had mine on my 2012 replaced a little over a year ago (with about 1,500 miles), car is stock. I had posted it under a different label, since I was not sure what the issue was at the time. Have had no issues since (have about 2,300 miles on the car now).

A friend of mine just bought a 2015 ZL1 and he bought it week before last on a thursday and the next day it would not start. The dealer sent a rollback wrecker after it and it was a bad ecm. I thought they had that problem fixed but I guess not.

Mine was acting up when I picked it up at the dealer and had to be replaced. Brand new car sent out with a bad ecm. Been good for a few hundred miles so far...
