Colors are all your preference....
Don't have anymore photos, but I used plasti-dip on the strut brace (Black on the end pieces, and red for the smooth center section) when I had my '15 SS. You could also find a business near you that does powder coating. As for the engine cover...I had a body shop paint mine as well. Last edited by nancygrl; 06-26-2018 at 12:44 PM. |

Engine Cover: Painted the center part and sides a dark metallic grey (painted fuse box cover the same), didn't paint the two silver parts, added carbon fiber 'CHEVROLET' overlays, made my own custom V8 emblem to cover original, added engine size emblems (had got them for another purpose and changed my mind, so used them here).
Strut Tower Brace: Painted the end brackets and mounting bolts black, wrapped the bar in 3d Carbon Fiber vinyl, added the 'Super Sport' emblem.

Had the middle hydrodipped carbon fiber. Body shop painted the rest aqua blue, red and white. Body shop painted the strut tower brace.

Here is mine. Used VHT High Heat spray paint for color and clear coat. A friend of mine made the decals on the strut bar, hand painted the letters on the cover with VHT.
