No. A lot of people on the forum are saying that long tubes void the warranty if you get a tune. But yesterday I talked to one of the managers and he told as long as the tune is from SLP it will not void the warranty. So it looks like going with SLP's headers now.

Does your service manager mean the warranty on the exhaust or whole power train warranty. Most service managers will tell you ANY tune other than factory WILL void the powertrain warranty.
Also for those wondering, on an A6 there is also some drone around 2k RPM but I only notice it when doing 70 in 5th. Everything else is easily solved by up or down shifting.

I ordered mine from LMP or late model performance and saved about $ 60.00 from every place else. SLP wanted $ 599.00. I got from LMP for $ 540.00 shipped

I installed the SLP LoudMouth II's I ordered and received before my Camaro arrived Friday...here's some pics installed. I'm trying to figure out how to get a video with audio of it....sounds fantastic.
Awesome sound! Love the wheels too. What/Whose are they?

This old street racer (used Corvair turbo mufflers and John Deere tractor mufflers) LOVES to walk softly and carry a BIG stick. Keep the idle quiet from a distance - as a curious noob gets closer, the cam lope becomes VERY obvious...and intimidating. Just to mess with them, a Lingenfeltet exhaust tip starts the questions.

That's how 21st Century is going to set mine up.

For the last month or so I was under the impression that you could only use GM parts cuz thats what an aftermarker chevy dealer in Dallas told me. I listened to the GM performance exhaust that one of their dealers had installed on his camaro and was not impressed at all. I really wanted the SLP Loudmouth II. From all the videos I was seeing online it was driving me crazy that everyone else was getting theirs installed. I was like "does no one care about their warranty?" I called the dealer here in Springfield where I bought my car and talked to the service mgr. After both of us looking at the SLP parts online he told me as long as the cat backs are not removed he could install them without voiding the warranty. He said another guy had gotten the GM performance exhaust put in and was unhappy with it so they took it off. And he was saying he was going to put a "straight tube" on his and just get rid of the mufflers. He said thats basically what he'd do to mine with this Loudmouth exhaust. So i went ahead and ordered it today and he said he'd install for $75.00. I really wanted the longtube headers to go with it but he said that would void my warranty cuz the catbacks would have to be replaced. I just want it to sound mean and these are the best i've heard so far so I hope i'm not making a bad decision.
Sounding mean and not being able to back it up has been the biggest joke on the street sine hotrodding evolved from souped up bootlegger cars.

Take it from someone with 42 years of street experience and keep it quiet and be able to burn tires off the wheels. THAT will get you street cred.

"Sound mean" - we used to ask those cats if they had a 7 -11 exhaust system with "Cherry Bomb" mufflers.

Spend the money to make it quicker....but quiet.
