How long does the dealer need the car for this recall?

Mine is going in on Tuesday afternoon, I'll post what happens.

They have to inspect the line, replace it if necessary. Then cut off the offending stud. So my guesses are:

1) If the line is OK, they do the cutting and you're out the door in 20 minutes or so.

2) If the line needs to be replaced, you car may be there overnight.

This is what I'm afraid of.

I have a feeling it is more of ordering the new line and replacing it as needed and cutting the stud off.

I think SGDM already had this happen to his car. You can check out his thread in the member car journals (which is awesome anyway) to see what this looks like. His car is Irene

I just called the dealer to get mine scheduled and they said they don't see it in GM Global Connect, even though I show it when I log in to My Chevrolet site.

Went ahead and got it scheduled anyways for something different (cigarette lighter stopped working out of the blue). Hopefully the recall shows up by the time I get the car there.

I had the same response as mxair2001 from my dealer. Since it is not showing up on GM Global Connect, they will not complete the recall. If and when it does show, they stated they would gladly complete the recall. They did say I should get a notification from On Star and a recall letter in the mail. Does anyone have any pictures of the offending stud? I plan to look for it this weekend to satisfy my own curiosity.
