European conversion - Z/28
Hi,
My soon to be baby is on the way over seas to Sweden (2014 Z/28). In order to get it road legal in Europe I need some conversions of the lights. The common way is to mount new small legal lights on the outside just to pass the first registration process. But since this is hopefully a keeper for me, I would like to have it as original as it is possible. What I need: -White front DLR separated from turn signals. -Side turn signals (E-marked) -Orange rear turn signal, separated from the tail/brake lights. -Rear fog light. My thought was to get hold of a pair of European RS(?) LED taillights which has all I need for the rear. -What I do not find the answer to is what the difference is between US and EU cars when it comes to cables/connections for the taillights. And a way to change the light-switch on the dashboard to get the original rear foglight button complete with connections/cables. -As for the front lights, is it plug & play to get the Camaro lights with Halos as DLR? -As for side turn signals there is two options: 1: Get the European elephant ear mirrors with turn signals in them 2: Put small turn signals on the front fender or on the original mirrors. I can get the signal from under the dash or from the front turn signals, Do not know which one to prefer, but I will find out once the car is in my garage. So, Anyone knows what separates the European Camaros and the US-version when it comes to cables to the rear? The dream would be to get a wire schedule for both cars. All help I can get is welcome.. I will get the car first week in august, and I will put it in hibernation at the end of september, so I need to get it out on the roads ASAP.. I cannot wait to get behind the wheel, bought the car unseen. |

I have 2010 SS US version in Europe and I have only two upgrades.
Orange rear turn light and fog light from left reverse light. Mirrors are not so important. Last edited by George-CZ; 07-11-2018 at 12:49 PM. |

In the UK the fog light is on the right due to RHD roads of course.
By far the best solution. |

This is not an option as my car is a 2014, with the new taillights..
