Might be trying to low ball you; I just checked KBB on my '13 2SS/RS coupe in 'very good condition' (although I think it's in excellent condition) in my area- trade in value came out to be around $27K.

I just ran mine the other day on my 2012 1SS Vert and it was 26-28 on trade and 30-32 private party. That was here in the Twin Cities. They are trying to lowball you big time.

Those are lowball offers! I paid more than that for a very clean low miles 2011 very.
Bust bet is a private sale.

Investing in cars expecting big returns is never smart. I buy cars to drive them and enjoy them, I'd play the stock market if I wanted to invest and make money...

What about a 2103 Camaro? :P

I didn't get the car, build it to my liking, so I can sell it or trade it. The $$ value could be ZERO and I wouldn't care... just me tho.

Going into winter, the last thing they want on their lot is a convertible. They'll have to sit on it until Spring. A buyer looking at a convertible in the fall is going to lowball the dealer, expecting an off season deal. We pay WAY less for Vettes and Camaros in the fall and nearly nothing for anything convertible. Letting a car sit until Spring is hard on the car and money tied up.

Good luck with the stock market, it has been a rocky road this last year. I think I lost more than I have lost on cars lol

I keep my cars long enough to slide through the depreciation curve. The Camaro will probably just be handed down to one of my boys. My first car was an '83 Trans Am so I'll let the tradition continue...

How else can a dealership afford new building fascia's & water fountains to line cars around?

That said, we are about to the end of warm weather & convertibles may sit awhile on a lot. People start thinking about suv's/trucks in the coming few weeks.

The real question is why you would want to trade it. Lol

I just bought mine this summer and my thought on a vert is that I bought it to enjoy. IMO a convertible value bottoms out a lot higher than a coupe, but i am probably wrong.

Oh, and people go broke everyday in the stock market.
