Drop my wheels off at the shop yesterday. They are charging me 65 a wheel and it's a four day turnaround. My question is did your shop remove the wheel weights and did he powdercoat your lugnuts as well. Guy at my shop told me that by coating the lugnuts it would cause grit to get inside of them and advised me to buy black lugs. Just want to get you guys opinion on the issue.

Probably doesn't matter. The black is gonna take a hit the first time a air socket has it's way with it no matter what the finish is.

I like it better powder coated to keep the same look if you get black lugs when they put the lugs in they just have to put some tape on them so they dont scratch. Make sure where you took the wheels they strip the wheel fist then polish it then powder coat or else they will not last long most reputable places i talked too were asking 500 for all four just want to make sure you dont get screwed over. Also remember with aluminum wheels with powder coasting they arent going to be perfect because when they put the wheel in the oven at 400 degrees you might get some slight air bubbles but there is nothing that can really stop it unless you use a steel wheel which you wont get the small air bubble with small imperfecitons will not be bad they wheel overall looks great no complaints with mine.

Don't let them do that. Either handle the wheels yourself or tell the mgr and tech when they work that you want no scratches. I do that at discount tire since they scratched my chrome vette wheels. Put on some black rears and told them not to **** it up.

But your right 99.9% of tire techs will just ram an air tool in there and treat it like it's an aveo with a steel wheel.

I like the powder coat and am thinking of doing it also. But one question, do you retain the TPMS after they are powder coated?

I want to do the same but 2 toned. I know that takes percision that powder coating industries dont wont to touch. It would be cheaper to coat them and drop ride the an inch. I agree nice rims bro!!!
