Similar situation for me, I am in management. The one thing I made certain of when I bought it...I never tell people "look what i just bought" or "look at my new car". If no one mentions it, I don't say anything about it. I pretend it's just another car, nothing special. Beyond that, I don't care what they think.

It also helps that someone who works for me drives a more expensive 2013 Camaro.....

I told someone in upper management above me - to me, compared to a Camaro, there's not a better looking car on the road for any amount of money. Yeah there are a lot of other stylish, beautiful, sexy, badass cars out there, but not one does all of that better than the Camaro. Not even the $100k+ supercars. The Camaro has a presence and attiude just sitting still that no other car can compete with.

The one negative was from a female working in an eye clinic. "Nice Mustang."
I volunteer that it is a V6, I don't race from stop signs, it has great handling at 110+ with more speed available (I don't cruise at 90-120 like yesteryear.), I have both automatic and stick with out wasting time with the clutch like years ago, 323hp used to be a V8 and I love the color. No negative comments.
I have gotten the biggest kick out of parents/grandparent who when the kids show interest in the car I have let over 80 some kids have their picture taken in the car wherever I am if there is time. (I trust the kids being more careful in the car than some of the people that park next to me. Thank you Clear Bra on the doors!)
Around here I seem to see 20+ Mustangs before I see another Camaro. Unless at shows.

I hate stuff like this because its so subjective, he probably beat a v6 and claimed it was an SS just like it was probably by a nose but he probably claims it was 4 car lengths 😜 I never believe anyone anymore lol

I've gotten "too bad they aren't as fast as they used to be." Also a lot of gas mileage comments. "My honda fit gets way better mileage." I enjoy the car and my 25mpg on the highway. And they aren't as fast as they used to be. They are faster, safer and cheaper to make faster
