I know there were 6 bellhousing bolts that came out. But there is room to put 8 of them. Trying to figure out which holes to leave open.

Funny thing is using a retractable mirror I was able to determine that one of them had no witness mark. But the rest did seem to. The two bottom bolts by the oil pan were the weakest looking ones. So I left them off for now.

Starter might take one of them up, can't remember but the other side I do not know.

I do remember there were only 6 bolts when I took them off. BUT, I had already stripped the rest of the engine down so not sure what, or if, there were bolts being used on.

Oh, ya, and once again the factory torque spec sheet bit me in the ass. I broke a motor mount bracket bolt off. And stretched the others.

So the pdf sheet has the following.....

Engine Mount to Front Suspension Cross Member Nuts - 43 lb ft
Engine Mount to Mount Bracket Nut - 74 lb ft

*keep in mind that this is all in alphabetical order so this next one is pages apart*

Motor Mount Bracket Bolts - 37 lb ft

WTF......... lol

Ass holes.

Nevermind the 'Nut' and 'Bolt' terms that should have been a giveaway but damn pick one, Motor or Engine.

Here is the pdf. Excellent reference info.

So I bought some harder bolts and had to cut them off because I could not find short enough ones. hahaha

The next guy who takes this engine off is going to need a 15mm socket AND a 17mm socket to get them off.

Here are the only pics I snapped.

Amazing.

That's all I got. There's gotta be a pill I can take that'll give me as much ambition as this guy. Need to talk to my Dr.

Did you have to shear the chain bolt for clearance?
