Question LSA Solid Isolator Swap- Intake Gaskets

I’m in the midst of swapping out my LSA isolator. Since I have to loosen the blower from the heads to get the snout off, I’m trying to get opinions on whether or not it’s necessary to replace the green lower intake gaskets 19180613 between the blower and the head since the blower is loosened. It looks like a ton more work to get the blower off to replace those gaskets but I also don’t want any intake leaks so not sure if it’s ok to just tighten them back down to torque spec or gasket replacement necessary. Thanks

No. I've removed my blower twice and reused the gaskets with no issue. Just torque it to spec and you'll be fine.

Thanks for the feedback. I've had a couple other people respond this morning and say the same thing.

As for sealing the snout back to the blower, I've seen some recommend RTV and others say that Loctite 515 Purple is the correct sealant to use. Anyone have a position on that?

I used gray RTV. Works great.

How much of a job is it to do what you have done? I have noticed mine is rattling now darn it and mine is stock. Its a 2013 model so it has started now so I don't think warranty will cover it. I was told gm said they would replace those for up to ten years am I correct?

I contacted the chevy store in Ft Smith Ar about this and he told me the warranty runs out december of 22 so I called at the right time. I have it set up to take over tuesday to leave it there to be repaired. That isolator just started making noise this last week when I took it for a drive and I am sure glad it did before the time was out on it.

I’m 6.5 weeks since diagnosis and warranty approval on my 2013 and the parts still haven’t arrived. I’m putting mine into storage tomorrow and the dealer will hold onto the parts when they eventually arrive and do the repair in the spring. My warranty is good until May 2023.
