Getting bored with the Camaro SS

So long story short, got an L99.

Basic bolt ons with a GPI SS2 cam making about 445rwhp and I'm at 90k miles with about 5k miles on the cam.

No I am not drunk or going through depression while I say this, but I am thinking of getting something like a used C6 Corvette or maybe even a low mile Nissan 370Z and go forced induction with it.

I was even considering a Mustang GT 5.0 of course, but ehhh... not too interested in another V8 unless it's a Vette or maybe even a CTS-V.

The only 6 cylinder I would consider is a 370z unless someone has had fun with a platform that responds well to mods like they do.

Anyways, thoughts ? Opinions ?

I have a 350z as well as my Camaro.

I also have a turbo kit for my 350z...

If there are not a SHIT LOAD of turns where you live ( ie: mountain roads) Don't bother.

350z's are a gutless wonder on any road, UNTIL turns. Once you start taking turns at 110 well it becomes fun, but once you're not on turns they suck. They are uncomfortable to drive. They get crappy gas mileage for a v6. blah blah its a piece of crap car.. it REALLY IS... Until you hit turns, then it becomes fun.

CTSV = Great Idea.. OR if you want a cheap fun lightweight beater. Lexus Is300. Comes with a 2jz GE.. and well 2jz = touched by the hands of God, and room in the backseat

For me if it's not a 5th gen Camaro I'm really not interested. I waited from 2007 to 2009
to order my SS. I still love driving it every time I do, and it's the only new car I've ever
owned that still gets compliments after 8 years. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think so.

Antique / classic cars excluded from the above. Been in the hobby 40+ years and just sold
this barn find on line thats been in storage since 1967. Love the hobby.

You can always get a new Miata. I heard those cars are a lot of fun.

You have an automatic. To me, in my opinion, that's the reason for the boredom. Just the simple act of manually changing gears on an SS adds to my fun and enjoyment. Slamming my baby from gear to gear gets my blood going. Just my 2 cents worth.

If you're bored with it, I'd go with or add a C6 or C7 Corvette. I have both, the SS and a C6; although I still enjoy my SS, it has never compared to the Corvette as far as driving enjoyment, especially on mountain roads

BRZ and add a turbo. 300 rwhp in a car that weighs 2,800 pounds sounds like a ton of fun to me.

Go on a cruise for a week. While you’re on the ship, drink some colorful beverages with umbrellas stuck out the top. Hit a couple islands and try some exotic food. When you get back a week later, put the throttle all the way down.

Sometimes, being in the car everyday makes us forget how awesome and powerful they are.
