Is this stock exhaust?

Bought my 1LE used with 12k on it so not 100% sure if this is stock exhaust. I think that it is not stock based on pics i've seen of stock exhaust of basic SS, do not think that 1LE exhaust is different.

It's the NPP option. Comes as OEM option when ordering, also comes standard on ZL1

Do the npp fuse pull and it will sound great. I just did mine a few weeks ago and wish I had done it sooner.

It doesn't do much. Just keeps the exhaust flap open and introduces some highway drone and decel pop which is kind of cool. Barely noticeable since the flap is open at idle anyway. Search out fuse pull threads. There are many of them.

And yes that is the stock NPP exhaust with H-pipe in the middle

On Corvettes I know for sure that pulling the fuse interferes with the other systems, and at least disables the launch control. Besides, it's always loud when you need it (and slam the throttle); why bother?

Something has been welded in the middle though...

Here's a pic of a NPP I just installed.

I think they call those resonating chambers? And those have definitely been cut out of mine.

Nothing was welded in. That's how the manual trans. npp exhaust looks. Kaboom the one you have pictured is off and automatic. Pulling the fuse does nothing except open the flaps on the exhaust all the time. Nothing more.

Are those heat shields then that were just removed?

Why does he have exhaust off of an Automatic? Someone add the NPP after purchase? Can they even fit on a 1LE?

Corvettes are definitely different and it makes a bigger difference on them. That's why all the people selling mild to wild would always show videos of the Corvette. On the Camaro it only affects the exhaust flap.

Nothing negative unless you don't like the drone while cruising down the highway. Putting the fuse in will quite that down. This is really all it's there for.

That is the stock H-pipe on the LS3. Your pic is from an L99 which has a big resonator so you don't hear it going into 4 cylinder mode.
