I have had nothing but quick responses from RDS. I asked about the price in a PM 4 months ago. Then I asked about ordering them 2 days ago and got an invoice 2 hours later. They should arrive this week.

Got my plates, excellent service from Ray and good pricing and quality. Called him and he answered right away. Not sure why other people are having issues, I sure didn't.

It is good he is now responding. If it had been the case when I was interested more than likely there would have been one more sale. Post up your results folks, Any differences you can tell with them installed?

I was having no issues at all communicating with him around the same time you were making the posts above. Just saying, maybe he wasn't interested in your business for some reason?

In fact, Ray sent 2 sets to me because UPS lost the first set. I'm sure he took a big loss as they are quality pieces!

This is the same UPS that on another order from another vendor tried to tell me my package was delayed for 2 weeks due to extreme weather. It was shipped in state and we have been having record temps and beautiful days for a month.

I will post the results and pictures of the install in a few weeks when its all put back together.

Maybe, Who knows, I guess if you don't like a potential customer simply asking what the price is for the plates via pm then I guess that is reason enough..lol.. Far from worried about it now, and glad folks are getting good service now. Just curious of real world observations of people who have installed them.

Has anyone actually done a back to back dyno yet or logged temps.

Dyno you would need to do 5 pulls with it on and 5 pulls without so you can gauge how much heat is being rejected/stopped etc.

Back to back is going to be difficult as the install is pretty involved.

I just finished doing mine and it was not difficult just time consuming.

Lower front cradle 1-1.5 inches, pull intake and all sensors and vac lines, disconnect fuel line, pull all SC lid bolts, pull lower SC bolts, remove blower, install spacers, re-install and torque everything, check for leaks. Not something you do still strapped to a dyno.

Also, with the spacers the SC lid rear bolts are impossible to get to without lowering the front craddle at least 1 inch. They now sit about 1/8th inch under the cowl. There is not room for both the RDS spacers and a lid spacer as I originally hoped. The ZL1 strut bar has plenty of clearance but the OEM engine cover is now hard to remove and reinstall quickly.

How does lowering the front cradle effect things like trans mounting stress drive shaft angle etc

None. You obviously raise the craddle back up when done with the install...

It just allows more access to the SC lid bolts but once they are torqued the craddle gets put back into it's normal position.

I doubt you will need to do that at all in your car as the CTSV guys don't have the space issue the ZL1 does. I would think your firewall and cowl is more similar to the Caddy than the Camaro but not sure.
