Instead of starting a new thread, I have leather that needs a good cleaning, with a good conditioner. Meguiars rich leather cleaner seems do ok but it doesn't do a great job. What does everyone use on their leather for best results?

I'm new to owning leather interior, so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but I just started using Adam's and I'm happy with it. As others have said, it leaves a light satin finish (not glossy like Armor-all would). And it gives your interior a "new car smell" - a very genuine leather scent that lasts for about a week after applying. I'll likely buy more when this bottle runs out.

There is no leather restoration and/or maintenance product that is able to top Leatherique.
Leatherique is a two-part system that utilizes a first step rejuvenation oil that is infused with actual organic proteins and fatty acids that penetrates deep into the leather and restores suppleness and elasticity, all the while bringing all the dirt and impurities up to the surface of the leather where it is then wiped off and cleaned from the surface with the second step cleaner product. The rejuvenator oil is supposed to be slathered onto the leather and left on for around a day, preferably with the windows closed during a very hot day to produce sort of a "sauna" effect for maximum absorption. Afterward, you then use the second product (called "Pristine Clean") to wipe off all the dirt that comes to the surface. Every time I've used it, it makes my leather look brand new again with that factory matte, low-gloss sheen and silky smooth feel. Granted, my seats and steering wheel ever since I first got them were covered by seat covers/steering wheel covers. I only take the covers off when I'm at car shows, so my leather doesn't see the same kind of traffic of wear and tear that most does. Either way, Leatherique is the best product you can use for leather. It's not a "conditioner" or "dressing." You do the treatment once or twice a year, your leather will stay looking new. |
