An update on the 2014 Cruze Diesel:

The 2.0L TurboDiesel has now been SAE certified at 151 HP and 264 lb ft of torque with overboost capability to 280 lb ft of torque. Fuel economy remains at 46 MPG highway.

This is an increase over the original ratings of 148 HP/258 lb ft torque and 42 MPG highway.

I was sure hoping this would break the 50's in MPG's. Close, but no cigar.

It'll probably break 50 in real world driving. From what I understand the EPA test cycle doesn't really favor diesel capabilities all that well.

And Cruzes in general also seem to do better than the EPA cycle.

First photo of the 2014 Caprice 9C1 interior with the new dash-mounted shifter.

9C3 model has been deleted. To my great disappointment.

Also: unconfirmed rumor that the 6.2L L86 V8 in the K2XX trucks is rated at 420 HP and 450 lb ft torque.

That's bad ass.

And probably 450HP 480TQ or more on E85.

And a small ray of cheer after the tragic tornadoes in Oklahoma...

The owner of this mangled Silverado hopped into the cab and turned the key just for kicks.

It still runs.

For 2014 the Chevrolet Spark swaps out its 4-speed transmission for a CVT.

It now has class-leading fuel economy at 39 MPG highway.

Fen, a personal question if you don't mind me asking. When was your dad working on the F-Body line at Norwood?
