its alright man... it saved you from buying a black car and hours of detail work to keep it clean for 5 minutes at a time

What? I test drove drove a new CORVETTE this last weekend? Who told you that?

I think this is a dealer policy at some places. Plus I think most sales people can sniff out tire kickers with no credit looking to joyride vs a serious buyer. We represent one of the bigger chevy dealers in my area and I believe they had test drive restrictions on zr1s and z06s but base vettes not so much.

I've been in sales before, commission sales and hourly. I think deciding what someone can afford by looking at them is commonplace, but really F'n annoying. In fact, the salesman are the most aggravating part of selecting a car. I don't expect rides in limited trims, ZR1 Z06 ZL1s and such, but a base model Vette? Why can I test drive a Cadillac with greater ease than a Corvette? I'm excited about what they have done with the C7 but it is impossible for my cousin to check one out.

Again, what makes this worse.... it is very easy to drive a 911 S but not a Stingray around here. As much as I love Porsche, I'd rather him buy 'MURICAN.

Guess I'm in the minority here but I happen to like the interior of my '15 ZL1. Maybe it's the black and sued tones but it suites me just fine.

Love my ZL1, I drive it daily. I was also very picky, I had to order mine. I couldn't find one without that dam suede on the steering wheel. I've seen how that stuff wears and no to mention the additional maintenance. NO THANK YOU! Never had a problem test driving any rides at my local dealership including the Z06.

I doubt it. He made an appointment, there was a walk-in beforehand. Someone beat him to it. I made my car deal in a couple hours as a walk-in. If someone had a time scheduled the next day, oh well

Salesman didn't contact you becasue you might have bought something else.

Good salesman - for his/her bottom line. Sucky situation for you, sorry.

Learned years ago that when you find what you want, you have to go see it *now*. The same thing happened to us with a house, fortunately we found an even better one of a kind - which I thought would never be possible. This time we offered quick and got the good end of the stick.

I also happen to like the simplistic interior of my 13 2SS. But, I'm also a huge muscle car buff of the 60's and 70's.
