295/35R20 x 315/35R20 set up
Anyone find a good track tire with the following sizes:
295/35R20 (fronts) 315/35R20 (rears) The Michelin PSS seem a bit pricy.... Was trying to find some Hankook's or something similar.

You know that changing a 305 to a 315 or 285 to 295 won't make a difference noticeable at all right? Top of the line tire to run all around are R888s, they're going to be in 285/35ZR20 and 315/30ZR20. These fit stock rims perfectly and due to a slightly shorter sidewall, less than .5", they will lower the car a tad bit all around. Perfect super high performance road course and straight line tire. If you have the cash for them, then DEFINITELY do it. You could also look into NT01s by Nitto too.
And if you want to step down a bit in performance, then you're at an MPSS. I'd go R888 if you have the coin. Last edited by Can'tHave2MuchHP; 12-14-2016 at 09:00 PM. |

I'm glad you brought this up KaBoom1701. I was contemplating this very thing, but opted to leave the sizes out because I didn't want to get flamed. I believe the sizes should give the ride height the same lift in the front and rear, while still providing clearance in the fender wells without rubbing.
The only problem I was running into was a lack of A/S in those sizes. Didn't want to have different tread patterns by having to go with two different brands. Do it! And report back with your impressions on the change.

I have also been looking for tires. The tires will see abuse with autox events. I have been researching the R888 and the NT01. They are close in price, but does anyone have a preference on which is better?

A few members here are pitching the R888's as the best performers out there... plus a few pals of mine with GTR's swear by them too. If I could afford an extra set of wheels for tracking, I'd buy them.

I bought the MPSS's but I was looking at the Falken Azenis RT615K (championship proven street and track tire) or FK453 (dry and wet handling are almost 5 star).

Just an FYI; This is how they are listed "Toyo Proxes R888R" racing tire DOT competition. I will try these this summer. Thanks for the info. I am currently running MPSS.
