Not a great deal? There is no better deal than paying invoice or slightly over. Do you want the dealership to GIVE you the car and actually pay you to take it off their hands? You do realize that invoice is what the dealer paid for the car right?

Paid or cost? There is a BIG difference.

Don't worry about dealers and do not think that invoice is what they paid. BTW there is money in the advertising they make and other things

then that must be invoice+ fee's. I would work the supplier angle then as it would save another $350 or so.

The two stupid $567.50 advertising fee's piss me off for some reason. have your custumer pay for itemized advertising it just completely stupid to me.

the prefered pricing exempts you from the fee's but the sheet from my other corvette before this advertising program was in place the prefered price was a deaper discount than it is currently so.

If you seach for IMR and LMR contributions you will find threads defending it as legitment by car dealers but that is kind of like asking satan for his stance on crime.

They do, same thing with the CTS-V. This is the only thing stopping me from ordering right now is that I have not been able to confirm on the MY13s, if they don't have it ill go spend the same money and get a V-coupe or less cause a few Cadi incentives have applied to the Vs recently.

MSRP Employee
ZR1 - 111,600 / 105,692
CTSV Coupe - 73,500 / 61,xxx -Dealership quote off a Black Diamond Edition
ZL1 - 59,955 / ????

My guess is that it is going to be somewhere between the 2 listed, so i would think somewhere around 10-12% which is pretty bad ass.

Employee pricing is available on every vehicle, it's just a matter of whether your dealer will accept it on the car.

Exactly. They are offering cash back on 2012 Corvette right now, with a whopping $4K rebate PLUS 0% financing for 5 years on 2011's. Sooner or later all the gotta have's will dry up and the price will be more realistic. This dealer markup is the usual when new models come out, then the customer is that much more in the hole on the car. Besides, I'd never buy one of them used, they are more than likely being raced. It's one of those cars that IMO are not going to hold the value they say it will in years to come for that reason alone. Especially if it's been modified in any way. Hey, to each his own man. I'm waiting, but not for long with those deals on Corvette.

I went to the GM Nationals at Carlisle over the weekend. Talking to all of the owners of ZL1's I saw(5 including me). NOBODY payed more than sticker. Yes there are fees and the Gas guzzler tax but those you cannot control. As for the "cost" of the car I believe this is what the dealers have from lowest to highest price. 1) Actual dealer invoice 2) An invoice that they can let the buyer see showing they are getting the "lowest" price. 3) Window sticker. I may be wrong about this but don't think so.

A Las Vegas dealer wanted $15k mark up. I said, I'd rather blow $15k on strippers than hand it over to greedy dealers.

I paid MSRP less $500 for being Farm Bureau member and got a nice deal on my 2011 SS trade in.

Hubler Chevy in Indy has a Black A6 at $25K over MSRP on there web site.
I have spoke to 15 dealers in the past week and all but 2 were asking at least $2.5K over MSRP, no talk of getting close to the invoice $$.
