Adam, did you fix it because I’m going through the same problem I bought a brand new battery and it stayed up to 14.2 the radio seemed fine for a couple of days and then it went to 12.5 radio stops working everytime I use my brake.

I have a question....has anyone tried to relocate the battery from the trunk to the engine bay?

Np. It just sounded weird. All cars with batteries and alternators can have problems. I owned 2 5th gen Camaro’s , no trouble with charging or electrical system. So I don’t know what you’re talking about?

your charging issue can be as simple as a wire arcing/grounding somewhere in/on the body
Let's help you out: Do you have any electrical modifications done to the car? Aftermarket stereo, lighting, alarm?

sixty9fordkiller the only thing i have hooked up to the battery is lighting for the floor boards, I do plain on getting a new radio for it sometime next year. The problem that i have is when i start the car its fine its when i put a load on it like the a/c it drops the volts to 12.5 sometimes to 11.9

Check the grounds in the trunk use a wire wheel or wire brush to make sure the connection is clean all on grounds and the positive connection points both in engine bay and in the trunk

also, check the AMP rating of your switch and the AMP requirements of your lighting mod. The AMP rating of your switch HAS TO BE greater than the amp requirements of the lighting otherwise electricity will find the least resistance (the switch) and **** around with all kinds of shit up there
