Window Molding Problems
My wife has been complaining nonstop about her Camaro's window molding folding inward. She says she's tried multiple times to pull it up with her nail. It stays in the correct place for a few minutes, but then just returns to this:
Do you think i should take it to the dealer and get it replaced? Or is there something else I can do myself to fix it? I'm afraid taking it to the dealer isn't a great idea because our Escalade's window molding was falling off earlier this year and now there is a ton of wind noise in the car after replacing it. Just looking for some advice. Thanks in advance! (Apologies for the messy garage )

If it's a defect in the molding then it might need to be replaced. If your dealer didn't fix the problem on your last vehicle then perhaps you need to find another dealer. Are there any others nearby you? You could try pulling it out and sticking something behind it to keep it in place then hit it with a hair dryer or very carefully a heat gun to soften the rubber into the correct spot.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll probably try the hair dryer method first, and if that doesn't work I'll look for the most reliable dealer in the area to fix it.

I'm having an issue with mine also but its not the same. on top of my window molding near the mirror it actually looks like a cigarette was laid on it and cause a burn....??? But I don't smoke, so I'm gonna take it in and see if they will cover it

TahoeCamaro, I hope you're able to take care of this issue. If not I hope there is a good dealer in your area to get it taken care of. Jason7, I hope your dealer is able to get you all taken care of. Let us know how it goes.

I had that problem after having the windows tinted, the rubber will get plyable in the hot sun ,pull it out while the window is down with a piece of plastic or popsicle stick.if it's creased straighten it out.

Mine does this as well, but I've never had any issue straightening it out. Kind of annoying, but liveable at the moment.

Take a credit card and slide it into the weather stripping along to where the problem area is and leave it there in the sun or some warm area. That will usually do the trick.

I have the same problem. It sounds minor but it is really noticable. I have had a couple of people point it out.
I will be taking it in when I get a chance.

Moulding
I have same issue. First it was only in one spot. Managed to pull it out gently but now have three other spots on same window. Interested to see if there is a self fix or dealer trip required.
