i'm sorry because I'm sure this gets asked a bunch, but just want to clarify. So mobil 1 75w90 is all thats needed for a rear fluid change correct? 15 SS camaro. Curious what you guys have been using. Thanks

Yes 75W90 fluid, I used amsoil. Should take around a quart or so.just under if I remember correctly

I heard many add friction modifier. Is it really needed?

Mobil 1 is supposed to have the limited slip additive already in it.

I went with the ACDelco fluid + the ACDelco additive because I heard mixed things about the mobil 1 not really having enough of the additive in it.

If you get the correct ACDelco fluid you don't need the additives it has them already, let me see if i can find it i'll post it.

I bought 2, but won't use all of them I have a Zl1 so my capacity maybe difference than the SS not sure what yours takes.

I just bought P/MasterHP Syn 75W90 Gear for my 1992 P/U chevy 1/2 Silverado. for $9 a quart.

Good to know. I went with the ACDelco 10-4016 and still needed to buy ACDelco 10-4003 to go along with it.

Only for the LSDs, not the open differentials. V6 Auto, don't need it, unless
you swapped in an LSD, or ordered it with one. V6 Manual, and V8s, they have
LSDs factory, so there, yes.
