Need help picking Torque Converter!

I have a 2015 l99 (a6) and I'm planning on doing the ls3 conversion and doing a cam swap. Im going with the BTR stage 3 and I don't know if I should go with a 3600 or 3200 torque converter? Is there a big difference between the two? Is drive ability an issue with either of the 2?

We have installed, dyno tuned and sold several torque converters that will fit your vehicle.

If you give us a call at (313)-561-5500 ext:1 or email us at info@livernoismotorsports.com we would be happy to talk to you about recommendations for your vehicle.

We can also supply a shipping or installation quote, depending on your choice!

500-800 rpm before tq peak is where you want your stall speed at. Circle D, Precision Industries both make excellent converters for these cars. So if your tq peak is @ 4800, then you want a 4k stall for best results. These are general rules of thumb and different variables come into play as well. Combined with the cam, the car is going to be a damn beast.

Agreed but you have to decide what's most important to you. Max performance or best streetability. Can't have both.

I had a Circle D 3200 for a while, don't even notice it after a week.

If you are big time into drag racing and running numbers, I would go 3600-3800 over 3200.

I run a CD 4C now.

I've got a 2015 L99 as well with the LSA Conversion and BTR 2 cam. Changed to a 3.45 gear and a Yank 2800. I DD mine every day, both hwy and local. The combo works great and actually slightly improved the mpg.
