Scissor Jack
Ok, I want to paint my ugly rusted rotor hubs, I have a floor jack, but wanted to get a scissor jack as well to put in the car if I get a flat. I saw this one at Harbor Freight.
It's 1.5 ton. I couldn't find any compatibility chart so was just wondering if anyone has used one of these, and if it fits the jack slots? |

Rule of thumb, never trust anything you care about (like your vehicle) with a product from harbor freight to support the weight of it.

I'd have to look in the car which is in storage, but any jack with the Jack point which the lip can fit into will work. 1 1/2 ton will work, but I tend to like to know I have a jack capable of holding all the weight limit, for safety reasons lol

I'm with you on the safety aspect for sure. Just want to make sure it has proper fitting to fit jack points. Does it look like the one in the HF picture I posted?

I bought a new Ford jack (for SUV/pickup, has the pinch weld slot built in) to take to the track instead of a big floor jack, just to change pads. It has a hex head instead of the loop, and I use a impact wrench to lift/lower car. Only use it on concrete skid. Plan on welding a larger base to slip on it for stability.
