Get OE glass too! There's a big price difference and quality between OE and the cheap windshields as well. Found out the hard way on my truck, pits way easy. In two months my cheap replacement looked like it was ten years old with all the pitting. Also make sure it's a hud windshield as stated above

I don't think so. My non-HUD, non-remote start, Pilkington was $760 installed.

It's called an accident. You probably haven't noticed the thin glass on vehicles now. Release one of the wipers without the rubber blade attached & it'll happen.

It wasn't like that when you brought it to them. I'd have them replace with the correct glass, you shouldn't have to settle for the cheaper non-hud windshield. The price for the OEM was like $680 when mine was cracked by a Bodyshop.

Although it's a simple fix to replace a wiper blade, if the arm is up with no wiper and is knocked down, the metal wiper arm will crack the windshield.

Did you really pay for the dealer to change your windshield wipers?

Glass guy tried that with mine at the dealership. When I bought my car the headliner would squeak right beside my ear. They had to take the glass out to replace is as they couldn't get it to stop squeaking. Broke the glass accidentally and installed cheap non hud glass. Told my dealer when I look at my hud I have one image on top of another must be wrong glass. Up here in Canada it is just under 1k for the glass as its gm specific and is shipped up from the states. They didn't want to change it but did. I'm glad they broke it and not myself.

When I had my windshield replaced twice on two separate occasions - I had to provide my VIN and at the same time was asked if I had an HUD equipped car. I also specifically requested an OEM replacement windshield and paid the difference with my insurance company. The first time they replaced it, they got it right. After about two years later, the windshield cracked again and when I had it replaced, the guy brought the wrong windshield and I had to wait another week for the correct one designed for my HUD to come in. I would get it replaced if I were you. It would bother the hell out of me as well.

I had a windshield replaced in an older GM truck - on the cheap, and its like a freakin' wine glass. Cracked 2 months later. If there's an "OE" version, get it.

I did go to the dealer. They paid a private company to do it.

I would return the car ASAP to have it rectified. If they screwed up it'll be their loss.

So, our windshields are $700+ even for the non-hud version?
