Painted my Strut Tower Braces Black, Flat Black that is, actually the same spray paint I'll be using for my taillights and back/bottom of mufflers. No picture, looks the same as so many others have done. Still, it looks better than before! Will change out the bolts once I find the right look, just painted the factory ones for now. I know I know, the paint is not going to hold up on the bolts. I actually touched them up after tightening them since they scuffed a little bit.

Not necessarily true. As long as your not taking them off and on all the time they should hold up just fine.
Here is mine after I installed it and no touch up was done just went slow tightening them down.

Also I added splash guards to the front will do the rears when I get ZL1 rockers.

Nice job. Looks really good, I did only the bracket ends and not the bar. I really like the red on the bolts. Maybe I'll try and match a red like the supercharger cover for my bolts. That should look nice. This was so easy to do, and I couldn't wait to show my husband. Although he said "how did you torque down the bolts, I don't have a torque wrench" oops I didn't that's how. He said 22 pounds so I'll borrow one and get that done.

Yeah, I really like the red bolts, that just may be the way I'll go. Here's a pic of the cover, we'll call it the "before" shot.

Next time I go by Home Depot I'll see if they got a spray paint color really close to my cover color. Unless somebody already knows the answer to my question. Please post if you do! Thank you

I would use automotive paint from AutoZone or pep boys or somewhere. It will hold up better under the hood than normal spray paint.

Sent from the fast lane!

The black paint I used on the brackets is for BBQ Grills, dries in 15 minutes and can take some serious heat. Also used it on my stainless splitter washers. Now you don't even see them. Only red spray paint colors for heat are probably caliper paints. I'll check that out. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1371526726.391321.jpg

Finally got my car off the ground, which was a bigger feat than installing parts. Installed CAI, Apex race scoop, washer bottle relocator, LED DRL's, planning to replace brake lines tonight!

Post a couple pics when done. I'd like to see the LED DRLs and the scoop. Brake lines, going stainless?

Still down due to a rejection sticker; parts are still in Florida. One can only hope they will arrive soon.
