I've been looking at the IR compressors, that is what i now have. i was looking at the need for the 2 stage version for me............i don't have anything that needs 175psi. what do you see is the advantage?
As stated, higher pressure gives more air volume. The 2 stage will also run quieter and cooler as they run at a slower RPM. The added CFM flow ability is needed when using a bead blaster, die grinder, sander or other high volume air hog tool. I would steer clear of a oil less style compressor unless you plan on a very light duty use. They are noisy, run hot and do not last as long as the oil sump style.

Thx all, I ordered an IR 60gal single stage, 3hp I believe.
With the use it'll see I did not have the budget for a two stage.

Thx again for all the input!
