Consider upgrading to a LSX 454 . have 6 sp all suspension mods and Zl1 drivetrain. Going with ls7 FI. What can I expect ? Aiming for about 600 at rear wheels.

OP,
Do your homework first. Your compressor may not provide the flow necessary to run a 1/2" impact at its rated torque. Take the impact from Lowes given in the link above. It is rated at 6cfm. Your compressor is rated at 5.2cfm I think. The problem is this impact will not put out the rated torque at the restricted flow. Make sure the impact you buy is rated for less than the maximum cfm of your compressor. Impact manufacturers rate the tool torque at a specific pressure and flow (CFM).

You aren't doing any impact work with 1/4" fittings. Thats like putting a 36mm throttle body on a camaro

I already did my homework bud. My Compressor puts out 5.2 CFM at 90 psi and the gun requires 4.2 CFM at 90 psi.

That's exactly what I thought ! 1/4 just doesn't seem big enough to be able to run the gun.

Most 3/8" sized air hose will have 1/4" NPT ends. No need to go larger for most any air tool you will be using in a home shop. An air impact doesn't use a ton of air. My biggest air hog tool is a die grinder as you tend to run it for a long time during use. A DA sander is also a big air user. Either of these will empty my 80 gal tank in no time and end up running on the compressor supply only. You should have no problem running the impact gun for lug nuts and such with your setup.

Don't buy cheap, don't have to buy the best but cheap is cheap. I've watched many airlines blow apart at the coupler.

I'm going to Home Depot tomorrow to get the fittings, a grease gun and oil. My gun was delivered yesterday.

Another idea that I use is I have a large reel with a quick disconnect that I attach a short springy coil that has an inline oiler attached. That way when you use tools that need to be oiled it just takes care of it and when you just want to fill some tires with air you can remove the coil with the oiler.
