Ported Throttle Body

I don't like this 1 second lag on throttle response. I want to do something about that. In your opinion, what PTB has the best improvement?

That's why we have Warehouse Distrubutor status with them.

CnC Porting is the best way to go

I don't think there has been a proven difference between the different PTBs on C5. If there has I would love some graphs.

I think I have a Vmax also. I honestly don't remember, because brand didn't really strike me as a determining factor during my time of purchase.

1 second is a long time for a lag, if it's that bad I say you have other issues.

VMax CNC Ported Throttle Body is the way to go. Remarkable improvement in throttle response. I can't believe GM hasn't upgraded their TBs for 2014.

Was looking for some type of comparison between BBK and VMAX myself on the net and could not find anything. I know the vmax is your own throttle body circular grind etc. And BBK makes them in two sizes but they are not cnc swirled as the vmax is and you cannot have your own done so its more expensive yet comes in 95mm and 102 versus the stock 87mm.

Actually, if you order a VMax from the vendors here, it's not your TB that you end up with... you get someone else's that has been reported on a CNC machine. When you receive the "new" PTB from the vendor, you send your original TB back to the vendor and get a $200 "core charge" back from them, once they receive it in satisfactory condition. Then your original TB is reported and sold to someone else.

VMAX is the standard. Throttle response is MUCH improved. You will never get the same kind of consistent results from and hand ported unit that you will get from a CNC.

I had mine ported by my tuner and I could tell the difference right away.

All of them have it. The improvement for the LFX is actually more noticeable than on the SS.
