Muffler Delete with Res. x-pipe

So I know this muffler delete topic has been beaten to death, and I have read basically all that is to offer on this topic. However, I have noticed that the complaints for straight pipe on a v6 are generally the same: too loud, too much rasp and too much drone. But can't all of the above be taken care of by installing a resonated x-pipe?

Anyone have straight pipes with a resonated x-pipes installed? I remember seeing one..but he also has the cats removed along with LT installed.

What do you guys think? Just trying to think of ways to have the most economical install while maintaining a reputable sound.

doesn't your ghost cam alter the sound of the exhaust though? I don't know much about the cam..

And also did you change out all of your stock pipes to 2.5"? I actually in the works of getting quad exhausts done..so I might go the same route you went. No drone right?

I can't hear a big difference between this and a simple muffler delete which lets you keep the warranty

Ghost cam alters sound at idle only. Real cams change sound completely. Whole system is 2.5 inch. My quad exhaust tips are awesome!

Only thing that may void warranty is the tune. Headers don't void anything except for the exhaust. If anything went wrong just flash back to stock. Trust me the video does no justice at all.

I see. Was there ever a point where you had the muffler delete and the res x but no headers? If so, how was the drone?

I had muffler delete with everything else still stock. I didn't have bad drone, just the rasp in the mid range RPMs was unbearable to me. Everyone's opinion on the topic is unique, I think.

I believe you I did my muffler delete and I was iffy about it since a lot of people didn't like it! But now I love it I can't stop driving it and I don't get that much raps either maybe its the size of the pipes that change it I dono...

I have just what you are looking for (not my setup...but links to vids)

First here is resonated X without stock resonator and muffer delete using 2.5" pipe all the way back:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106250

This next one is using the resonated X WITH the stock resonators but no rear mufflers.

I know you can't say for sure without hearing in person, but the 2nd vid seems a bit lower in tone and I like it.

Oooh this is perfect. Thanks! I'm assuming though for the first video you mean without resonators? I might do the second set up...with quad tips. Do you think the drone will be bad? Or will the resonated x pipe take care of that.
