Has anyone had to replace front bumper?
I just rear ended someone. :( I looked down at my cup holder, looked back up and it was too late.
Need to have my front bumper replaced. His ball hitch punched into my bumber.....purely cosmetic. The grills are intact. Just the bumper itself needs replaced. Any ideas on the cost for parts and labor? Anyone had to do this yet? Any help would be great. Its my first accident ever.:( |

I'm on my 3rd front bumper. If I remember correctly it was like $300 something for the bumper and then you have to pay to paint it which will vary on what color your car is. Make friends with the parts person at the dealership, they can get it for you at cost. Atleast that is what i did, then just call around to local body shops.

The body shop will PROBABLY mark it up. If you go directly to the dealer your chances of getting a better price are more likely. You could even PM some of the dealers on the forum and get prices from them.

I've seen them too and that's a smoking deal. Problem is, if the color is slightly off you'll know. A good body shop will blend your new bumper into your fenders and hood. Probably cost more and may or may not be worth it to you.
I thought about getting one of these bumpers and cutting it up, fiberglassing here and there to make something unique. |

Im probably going to buy one of those bumpers on ebay painted already. I would imagine it cant be that much of a match difference. My bumpers already are alittle off from the rest of the car and thats how it came from the dealer lol.
Quick question. My car is summit white. On ebay it says olympic white......same thing? |

I don't know if you were planning on it, but you could save some money by taking the front off yourself and then putting whatever you decide on back on. I've removed the front of my car so many times that I could probably get it off in under 15 min. now. Its pretty simple. The first time I did it was because I called my dealer to see how much it would cost to install a heritage grill. The installation was more than I paid for the grill. Just to remove the front of the car was $150. While you're at it, you might as well find a nice custom fascia.

LosingReality, camaro4mybday is correct. The only white on the current generation of Camaro is the Summit White. If you can get the paint code from your dealer you should be able to get this bumper taken care of or you could have your dealer take care of it for you. I hope that helps and I hope you can get this all taken care of.

Looking back at my touch up paint....and the duplicolor paint i used to paint some stuff...It all says olympic white but has the WA8624 paint code. |
