GLOSS BOSS: Black Z/28 with gold-bronze wheels

The car will be seeing street duty for the next couple months, so I had my street wheels powder coated, took off the number panels, and got her "dialed-in."

I have a spare set of Black wheels with Trofeos for track use.

Pics attached!

When I read the title to the thread, I thought, "oh no, someone just uglified a Z/28". But that looks killer! I love it!

He is a friend of mine, here is the quick info. They are Continentals, stock size on all 4 wheels, 305 30 R19, no he did not do 325 in the rear.

Should be these. Higher treadwear rating than the Trofeos, much cheaper, again for street use only.

So far so good on the ride but he will need to elaborate further, if he will ever park the car.

Thanks Scott.

Yes, they are Continental Extremecontact DW tires, 305s all around. They quit selling the 325 on Tire Rack. They are 320 treadwear, so they will probably last forever.

For street use, they are decent tires. Good turn-in, and sidewalls seem to be reasonably stiff, so there isn't much delay or mushiness in turning. I do not hear the constant clatter of rocks hitting my side skirts like I do with trofeos, and I did for the first few thousand miles of the Hankook RS3 tires I had before these, and that's probably because of the harder compound.

They are quiet and comfortable. I won't be pushing these to the limit or taking them on track. For what they are, street use should be awesome, and their cost and wet traction capability makes them a no-brainer for me.
