This hood is pretty awesome. It looks really good on black. I originally was planning to paint the hood black, but I've got so many compliments I decided to keep the carbon fiber look. I have not seen another VIS hood like mine around, but I have seen 2 other similar Seibon hoods. Side by side comparison the both have some differences, but overall are pretty nice looking. Mine has a slightly taller cowl, and comes with removable guards. As of yet, the Seibon have no guards that I know of. The one thing to consider with these carbon fiber hoods are that you have to treat them differently than you would stock. Stress from the shock support can crack the hood. I am very careful when closing it, no dropping or slamming it like stock. If you're ever interested and live close to Brentwood, you can come check out my hood. |

I like my Trufiber but the clearcoat isn't as high quality as it should be for such an expensive hood. The corners have stretched from driving around less than 15,000 miles and so the edges look like they're peeling/fading... to be fair the car sits outside in the sun all day, and my original carbon fiber anvil spoiler did the same thing but was replaced for free under warranty. Other than that the fitment is perfect, definitely needed a lot of adjusting though. I still like it, but it could definitely be better so I'd probably go with a VIS terminator hood if I ever switched it up again

SEIBON TSII Carbon Fiber... under 1K shipped. Great quality, no issues so far. Lots of compliments on it from people who I know would normally not say a thing.

Specs account has been suspended for a while. I talked to him before I purchased mine when I was going back and forth about getting one. I am not running hood pins and haven’t had any problems. He was not running them either as far as I know and had no problems. Here is a pic of mine.

That’s what’s good about this forum. There are people that will answer questions for you and also help spend your money for you. Best of both worlds.
