tuner near miami, Fl.

Whats up all,
So im really close to buying my long tubes and i want to tune the car after i instal since i have all the basic bolt ons and minor porting. Ive heard great things about florida speed and power but they are 250 miles from where I live. Any know of a good place thats a little closer or should i just make the trip up there? I live in the kendal area miami fl. 33175
Also is driving the car after the install safe or should i have it installed there? In case it matters i have a cold air intake, throttle body ported and modded by bo, ported intake manifold and 2.5 inch catback exhaust. Looking to purchase either some kooks, tsp, or stainless power 1 7/8 headers with off road connection. I have a 2014 ss/rs l99.
Thanks in advance!

That shop has a great reputation for its work. Don't hesitate to take it there.
I sent mine to Texas on reputation alone. You won't be disappointed.

You can get a trifecta mail tune they are one of the cheapest and they do data logging. I switched to HP tuners tho. I have a guy local for me that tunes my car.

I've had great luck with Jeremy Formato (owns Fasterproms). He normally travels to Miami or Davie every month or so. He can work wonders with the shift settings of your auto. He normally posts schedules in the Fl. section on ls1tech.

Used Matt @Florida Speed for the tune on my 2014 1LS. Takes pride in what he does. You can't go wrong with him, plus if you have ideas on future mods , you can run them by him.

You have Redline Motorsports in Pompano Beach just north of you. They are the industry standard.

Also Lashway motorsports, they did my headers + tune for a good price and I loved the work they did enough that I'm having them do another $8k worth of work later this month.

I would also recommend you go with Matt @ FSP, I had him remote tune my car before I sent it to him for the turbo kit, he had it almost perfect before I got to the dyno. I was out of state at the time, I pulled on the dyno and did about 5 runs and that was it. Custom dyno tune from 1100 miles away. You'll be hard pressed to find a bad comment about him. Top notch group of guys. If you call the shop and don't get him, try e-mailing him, he stays busy.

If you are going to make the 250mi trip this way I would recommend Phil with TampaTuning. Most detailed accurate work I've ever seen done.
