Wicked Storms in Ontario

Was watching the news last night about the tornados and hail in Ontairo and south. Any damaging stuff come near the Oshawa plant? Any dinged up Camaros in the parking lot? Hope not...

The Oshawa Plant is Pretty close to the lake, I think the Tornado producing storms were much further to the north.

the weather was horrible outside my house, the Tornados were close but not too close and luckily my car was in the garage, but my brothers mustang was outside in the hail:(

yep, again today....Summer has sucked here...Worse storms here in years. I remember when I was a little kid, we had some major storms in the summer, that's the last time I can remember them being this bad, like 30 years ago..

Yeah...sad-looks like many lost homes and a little 11 year old died :(

We live on the 41st floor and were freaking out...they did not give the warning for the city until the worst had hit...

Plant is ok...

Nothing happened today, not here in Niagara Falls. Tired of the RAIN....I guess I would be more mad if I didn't sell my Trans AM earlier this year. I loved driving that car, sold it to buy my camaro.

Camaro fans, we should put our priorities in perspective...car vs people hit with tornados and hail...no contest...PEOPLE COME FIRST....
I know that is hard for us Camaro fanatics to remember at times, IMHO...
We should pray for anyone affected by these terrible storms and devastation dished out by "Mother Nature's Wrath".........:(
We should also be thankful for every day that we have here on Earth, and appreciate what we have...it can all be taken away "in the blink of an eye"....
I know how life can "turn on a dime"...I almost lost my son to heat stroke this week...I spoke about my scary situation on Tuesday in the "off-topic thread"...:(
Take care of yourselves and each other...we are a "Camaro family"...I believe there are many good, kind, caring folks on this forum judging by the outpouring of love and concern for each other whenever one of us has a problem, we are all there for each other...
I think that the love of this car has brought us all together from all over this country and Canada to enjoy our cars and our Camaro friendships...

The "confirmed" tornados & worst hit areas were northwest of Toronto. The worst community affected was Vaughan, which, for our U.S. members is the area around Canada's Wonderland Park. As of today, many officials were assessing the damage, and 44 confirmed homes have to be torn down, and another 200+ have major damage. For what it's worth, only minor injuries were reported in this area, which could have been worse since it hit around the dinner hour. The damage to some homes is amazing, considering these homes are SOLID BUILT HOMES (blocks & bricks), not like a trailer park; no offence intended on trailerparks, just trying to make a comparison. I live only 15mins east of there, and thankfully the tornado did not hit, but it seemed to be all around me.

A sad note, an 11yr old boy died in the small town of Durham, Ont. while attending a day camp.
OUR PRAYERS GO OUT TO HIS FAMILY!
