Metra Kit issue - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hello all,

so I bought a used 2013, it already had an aftermarket head unit and the Metra kit installed. Everything appears to work OK with the exception of the back light for the LCD screen (heater control screen). In the daylight this is not a problem as I can see everything just fine, but at night it is just a black hole in the dash. Has anyone else had this issue with this kit? If so it there a fix without total replacement? Thanks in advance.

ok so instead of fighting it, I just replaced it, went with a Cam-1 and Maestro RR with a Kenwood head unit. I love this setup. it will take some getting used to but the options are awesome.
