1000 miles is kinda of a lot to just notice, but hey...that shouldn't matter.

These are Goodyears. I know they wear very quickly, but Im happy with them. But I see how other manufactures would not have corner specific tires like the Goodyears to simplify installation.

Well I contacted the dealer. The best part of this is I belong to a Camaro Club where I live. This dealer is where we have our monthly meetings LOL! They have a very specific guy who does all of the wheels for the Vettes and high end Camaros. I apparently did not have him to service my car that day. I have an appointment tomorrow to rectify the issue. I will see what they think we should do when I get there. I will have them place a note in the computer why the tires were rotated. If something comes up in the future with them they will replace them if that is what it takes. I don't think that will be necessary, but want to be covered JUST IN CASE, LOL! See what happens tomorrow. We actually have our meeting tomorrow too HeHe!

IF that's the case, then running the tire 'backwards' wouldn't ruin the tire, you just wouldn't be getting the optimal traction/grip possible with that tread design.

Went to dealer yesterday. They switched the tires around and reset the sensors. Also left a couple of notes in the computer as to why. So if anything comes up it is recorded. Thanks everyone for your input

Just for clarity the goodyears are directional and asymmetric. That is why they are specific to each side. No easy solution other than removing the tire from the rim and remounting them correctly. Glad you got it taken care of.

The tires are directional, the rims are not. They just might be a different size front to rear.

What he is iterating is that if the two fronts are mounted on the wrong side, because they are directional, you cannot simply exchange the mounted tires. You now have to dismount and mount (and balance) correctly. It has nothing to do with size, or front back: thus, "directional and asymmetric."

If they were mounted outside-out then installed on the wrong sides of the car there will be no re-mounting.

Correct. He'd have to be a real dufus to month them backwards and on the incorrect side.

Take it back to the dealership and have them swap the wheels side to side, but make sure they rotate the air.
