When I first posted the thread regarding this meet I thought that I'd just throw it out there to see what I got. This is the first time that I have tried something like this and I am impressed with the friendship of the forum members as well as the overall attitude that we are driving something really special, whether is it an LS, RS or SS.

Just a reminder, when you come over the Harry Nice Bridge DO THE SPEED LIMIT! The Bridge cops hang around the bottom to catch folks coming down the north side towards the toll booths (it is a free ride north, a toll going south).

Also, the ride up 301 in Maryland is a speed trap waiting to happen. 55 is the limit, and they WILL get you for 60!

A bunch of Camaros together will turn heads and make sure it isn't a cop!

I know what ya saying... I take this route when I come back home from Laurel and yes the cops are harsh in that area....but thanks for sharing

By the way, thanks for your service! My son is an 8 year veteran with the 1st Cav out of Fort Riley and is currently in Basrah. Hopefully back in the states in Jan. and then off to Japan for another stint.

All I can say that it is my pleasure serving. I was in Basrah back in '03 ... which was my last combat tour (I hope before I retire)... I hope he comes home soon as well. I been on 7 combat tours and it take a toll on ya I tell ya (First Gulf War '90, Kuwait 92, Somalia '93, Haiti '94, Bosnia'95, Iraq '03 & '04) all I can say is its been interesting 20+ years and I been blessed!

Is anyone else coming from the Annapolis area or anywhere up/down route 2 that wants to cruise together?

We just got our TPW of 11/15, so we'll have to try and catch the next meet. We'd be headed down from Baltimore if we were going, but know that area down there pretty well with my drives between the Odenton area and Langley AFB.

You have to love it....I received an email from the Manager of the Clarion today reminding me that the meet was OK as long as we patronized Damon's. In order to keep the peace I assured her that there would be business for Damon's and that I wanted to have this as an annual event at their location.

I actually posted this info. on page 4, post #90 and I didn't receive any negative responses so I am assuming everyone is cool with the arrangements.

With that being said, if we buy some food and drink to keep them happy cool, if not oh well and I'll have to find another place for next year. However, their food is actually pretty good and the Skins game will be on at 1.

I don't know how long we will be there but I imagine at least 2-3 hours so getting something to eat and drink is a good possibility!

No drama at this point, let's just have a great time, get to know each other, enjoy a picture perfect day and show off the shine!

I'm excited to finally attend a local event (local for me)!! I've made a meet in Fredericksburg and the Zoo Crooz last weekend, so can't wait to meet some folks from the area, and those coming from a little farther away!
