How's about stainless steel? Poking around the hardware store, I couldn't
find an aluminum turnbuckle

Stainless Steel would surely be stonger but I'm still a bit leary about someone having that catch can hanging in mid air supported by just that simple turnbuckle between those belts. If it were a staple shaped bracket....maybe I'd do it. But I'd still be nervous.

Any updates or thoughts 'bout the OPs location for the CC?

If the car is gonna be track raced, then I would be very leery,
but on a DD...??

I don't like it near the belts. I put mine in a safe location. This thread http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=259186

Does it work?

Do you need it? If so, why wasn't it a stock item on the car?

Here is another E2 CC install. I built a bracket for it which mounts on the two square holes behind the ECU. There is more than an inch of clearance to the SC belt. The bottom is easily acessable to remove for emptying. It works!

Don't have on one my ZL1 yet, hence the interest in this post.
But, I do have one on my 392 Challenger; it's collected about 2+ oz in
3000 miles.

I had one on my '10 LS3 SS - it collected 3+ oz every 500 miles..

Yeah, definitely worth it.

The bracket is made out of 1/8" flat steel. It starts out at the mount end 2" wide welded to strip of 1/8"x3/4"x3 1/2" with 2 holes for mounting in it. The mount then bends around to the front and tapers to 5/8". At the can end it bends 90* is reduced in width to fit the can and has a small piece welded to it making it 1/4" thick for the can mount position. 2 holes are drill into it for mounting the can. At the body end there is a piece of 1/8" x1/2"x3 1/2" stock with two nuts welded welded on the back side. This piece goes on the back side of the body sheet metal used to mount the ECU. The body sheet metal is sandwiched between the mount and the "nut" piece. There is a 1/4" hole drilled through the arm at about halfway so a zip tie can be used to secure the hoses. If you look carefully you can see the mount under the hoses at the zip tie location and follow it back to where it is mounted. The top of the bracket is covered with an edge protector to prevent wear on the hoses where they are tied to it. When completed it was primed and painted satin black. It's a fairly complex piece with compound angles involved. I used several sheet metal mockups to get it right. The hoses and fittings are from Summit. They are the "Twist-Tite" fittings. I used this 'cause it's a bit cheaper than AN fittings and the hose has a full 3/8" ID making it easier to attach to the engine end. When attaching to the engine side a bit of lube helps slide the hoses on the fittings.

I like your set up. I think the braided SS set up is too bling for me, but it looks very good. What hoses do you have? Do they and the fittings come with the can?
