That being said, the stock boss motor has been making 1000+rwhp reliably for a while on several cars. Nicely forged from the factory.

Yep.. They did rod bolts, bearings, rings though also.. That way you have a set file-fit ring gap meant for boost (Probably .0022-.0024 or so). The tolerances for ring clearances are .0007-.0021 by GM spec last time I checked.. Most of the failures that I have seen with boost and LSx motors are from the ring gaps touching and blowing the ringland/side of piston apart. It's all just about a dyno number anyways. The point is that JRod uses and abuses this thing. We all know the territory we are in, this is done with 14* of timing on 93 octane + methanol, but Jaime will only run race gas & methanol at the track. There was C16 in the nitrous standalone. - Matt |

There is only one lower pulley from ECS, its available in 8-Rib or 10-Rib, same size 7.9. The upper pulley used to have option 3.33 vs. 3.47, ECS now makes their own pulley which is 3.33". The restrictor accounts for the boost drop upstairs to accommodate factory setups However you know this, lol.
