ss vs 400whp wrx
So a buddy of mine just got his car back from pure tuning where it laid down 400whp, idk torque. My car made 468/424 and with a really bad tune. It goes Thursday to cincy speed to let them retune it. I'm expecting around 490-500 whp. And hopefully around 440ish tq. I'd really like to walk all over this guy. I'm on weld rts wheels and 295/45/r17 drag radials. The race will be from a dig. What are your guys thoughts.
I feel he will get me out of the hole and I will be past him in second gear and gain lengths the rest of the way! |

Did you actually see his dyno results on paper because I would have to question a shop that takes two years to build a car like his. |

I know that shop, Im taking my car there on the 22nd for a Dyno run. They have a Mustang Dyno. I have also wondered about those cars. There is a lot of them floating around the Toledo area. Id love to know how you do.

You will destroy him if he really is only at 400whp. My best friend has an STI and the weight difference doesnt really help them that much. When I was stock and he had gotten work done the first time and was putting down 380whp we did a few races from a roll. The winner each time would be the one who was able to get on the throttle first. Neither would pull away. He is now 507whp with a lot more done and running e85 and walks me no problem. But thats nothing cam and head work cant fix for me.
From a dig....I give it to you with the power you are saying you are putting down and will be putting down. You will really have to screw up your driving bad for him to have a chance with you. The STI's gearing is extremely close as well. It hurts them having to shift so much more than you do.
