Muffler removal

I'm pretty new to all of this and for the time being am going to do an exhaust mod just for sound, not for performance.

I'm considering having the stock exhaust removed and having a Magnaflow 16582 cat-back system put on with a Magnaflow X-Pipe installed.

Thoughts on this?

I know you guys answer 1,000 and 1 questions on this stuff but not being 100% confident on what I should get I'm asking. Thanks for the info and all the great knowledge in this section, I'm learning a lot .

After going back and looking I believe this is a axle-back

Huh... I'm sure it's an axle-back though.

Correct it is a axleback,I have it
Get it and add the x and u will love the sound...

Headers are nice and will make power but from looking at the latest testing all I would do is add hi flow cat pipes to stock manifolds and be done with it..

For now, until the warranty is up I'm going to do small cosmetic type mods. She'll be getting longtubes, tune, etc. further on down the line for sure .

If u do longtubes with cats I wouldnt go muffler delete
Its gonna be too loud, I would get the axleback with mufflers, add the x and then put the headers on and that would sound awesome

I felt my car was way too quiet for a performance car. I just went to an exhaust shop I trust and had them cut out the mufflers, bend some some pipe and re-use the stock tips. Sounds great! Only cost $200, those "kits" are WAY over priced. I like the deceleration popping reminds me of old school hot rods. I am planning on getting rid of the cats, and adding headers next winter so I may end up putting some type of muffler back in down the road if I feel its too loud...but I doubt it!
