Info about who to buy from
So I have decided to buy kooks long tubes with high flow cats and a cold air inductions CAI with the sct x4 tuner. I was just wanting to know if buying all of this from JRE and getting the free tune is a good idea. I’m new to the tuning world so any advice would be great.

Ted is probably one of the best tuners for this platform so its never a bad idea to go through him

Ted did a lot for the 5th Gen community. He tested out various long tube headers and cold air intakes on his dyno and posted the results. straight up guy

That's not a bad idea. Mail order tunes from very reputable tuners like JRE are good tunes. Personally I'm more of a local tuner guy in case something goes wrong you have a local guy to turn to. That setup is a killer setup though. Kooks headers are great quality, CAI is a great cold air intake brand and a free tune is just icing on the cake. Go for it!

Ted would be fine for this kind of simple tune. If you ever get a cam, go to someone in person.

Most of the time, I support the vendors but (after all, they are sponsors), there are others I do buy from that are not (like racing ‘consumables’, etc.) I usually buy direct from Brian Tooley, Tires Direct, Tire America, Summit, JEGS - just to name a few... ADM was a spin yet I’d have no problem calling on them as they have great services too.
DynoSteve (RDP) and GPI are other sponsors who have great customer focus. -Don

Thanks for the feedback the only question I have now is how does stainless works LT compare to kooks LT because RDP has a performance package with all that I want in it but it has stainless over kooks and is gonna be about 600 bucks cheaper

I have stainless works in mine — 5 years and not a single issue — and I’ve done a lot to my build ;o)

Stainless Works, Kooks, and ARH are all awesome brands and you'd be hard pressed to find much difference in any of them. They're referred to as the high priced headers because they're American made, warrantied for life, great support if you run into issues, and exceptional quality control.
