You'll win.
My wife has the deluxe model Kia Optima (the EX Luxury, not the Turbo). When she got it the salesman noted my car (we drove to the dealership in my old 2010 LS) and the dealer jokingly tried to sell her the turbo model, saying that, not only would it beat my car, but that it would beat a Corvette. I just smiled and nodded thinking "What the hell is this guy smoking?". Went home and did some research and the guy was out to lunch. While those Optimas are definitely really nice cars, there's obviously no way in Hell it can take a Corvette and you have the edge over it in your 2LS. Just don't screw up, lol

As long as you don't screw up, you'll get him.

The zero to sixty site has the stock 2LS (LS with auto) at 6.3 seconds. Supposedly the LS manual is 5.9 seconds. Neither are bad numbers. But like has been said, the driver makes the vehicle. I see so many top car drivers stuck in traffic and eventually in my rear view because they can't actually drive the damn thing.
