2010 Camaro LLT vs 2011 Chrysler 300C
So I'm planning to hit the drag strip and race my buddy he has a 300C v8 (STOCK) and I have an LLT with MRT v2 exhaust ... How close would I be ?
And is there any chance of me winning? Thanks !!!

Depends on the year. The orginal 5.7 would be a close race. Theyre mid-low 14sec cars stock. If its the newer eagle 5.7 he should get the W. Unless he totally screws up.

Out of curiosity for you mopar guys in here, what about the 08 heritage edition 300c? which 5.7 is in those things? - I own one which is why I'm asking, but I don't know much about those motors.

There were only 500 heritage 300's made in 08. they run 60 in the mid 5's and quarters in the high 13's. Not going to beat an L99 but that wasn't why they were made.

I test drove a Challenger R/T a few months back and a 2005 300C yesterday..... I was completely underwhelmed, there's no way in hell that makes nearly 400 lb-ft of torque(if you disprove me on this I don't care, it felt slow- it doesn't have the bottom end of my 4.6 stroker Jeep Cherokee XJ or the top end of my G). This is coming from an owner of a G35 mind you, I am not used to V8 torque curve(used to instant torque Inline 6 or 8k rpm V6). But it felt slow, as did the Challenger R/T.... Accelerating was boring because you can't even hear the engine, it sounds like a Dyson vacuum cleaner, of course an exhaust system would change that easily but that's from my experience. Don't get me wrong, I thought I would LOVE Hemi's and the torque.... But seems like a lot of hype to me. Then again, it could just be so refined that it masks its speed very well.

I hear a lot about the price from other people. It must depend on which part of the US your in. The dodge dealership here in TN had a 392 for 41k....already installed with the CAI, strut bar, and mopar suspension. But I here from other people the prices can be rediculous. I guess its just dealership markup like any other high sought after car that has come out.

My car is very similar to the 300c with the same chasis and engine. Many people are running low 13's with the newer 5.7 300c's/ charger r/t's. After 3 weeks of ownership I would say it would be a good run against an L99, but a LLT wont be enough imo.

V8's- LS>Hemi(oh wait they aren't even real Hemispherical engines, so you are paying another premium for just a name, just like you are for the Challenger) |

Its a big, heavy car and its going to mask the way it feels... My Srt8 is a full second faster than my friend's 4.6 Mustang.... Yet his car " feels much faster" I could care less how it feels as I'm blowing by " faster feeling cars".....

I find it pointless to compare LS to Hemi. Both are great large displacement high powered torque monsters. My original argument was a LLT Camaro would not be able to edge out a 300c with equal drivers.
