New tire from Bridgestone to premier late summer!

Hey guys, I'd like to let all of you know that later this spring/summer Bridgestone/Firestone will be debuting a new tire specifically designed for the new Camaro, Mustang and G8 GTX. The Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500 AS. I personally work for Firestone, and have been waiting for this moment ever since I purchased my SS last June and found that Bridgestone didn't make a tire in the 275/40/20 other than truck tires! So keep your eyes open later this spring/summer for a high performance all season tire with our car in mind during the designing!

An AS tire? Man that sucks. I like Bstone and Fstone but I don't want to run an all season tire on my car.

I'd agree. It's an asymmetrical tread-design, which is non-directional, but it's a good first step in the right direction. They're premiering it as an "ultra high performance all season tire". Which basically means, the best you're going to get in an "all season" tire. Hopefully later this year/into 2012, they'll come out with a directional/summer only tire.

We need a 315/35/20 for those of us with aftermarket wheels that are 10"-11 1/2" wide.

i'll be sure to let you guys know what cost will be for my particular store as soon as the database is updated. Zone just sent us an Email yesterday with the specs and availability of sizes. Hopefully should get some pricing within the month

RobertHarriSS: I believe that size will be an option. I'll double check tomorrow

My tire guy told me about this tire as well. He said it would be out 3rd quarter of this year so sometime in between July-Sept.

This is the size I'm looking for as well. Any word on if this will be one of the sizes produced. Gonna need tires for my Forgelines early August. Any idea when the line will be released?

There's at least two new lines of tires slated to ship into stores "late summer". Whenever we start carrying a stock level of them, they'll automatically be shipped to us via the warehouses in Connecticut. As far as the Wide Oval AS's, they will be all seasons, however Potenza is coming out with a new pole position tire, I believe the SO-0 (ess-oh zero) which will -not- be all season
