Fun in the parking lot
This weekend my wife and I took the truck .... and trailer ..... to haul our daughters "stuff" back from college. (WHY do girls need SO MUCH stuff anyway?) She still has a final this week so she wasn't coming home yet. After loading the truck , I was ready to leave but she and her mother decided they needed to stop at Hobby Lobby and pick up some more ...... "STUFF". She drove the Transformer and I was in the truck, since we were leaving from there. I did NOT go into Hobby Lobby with them. I was parked facing the Camaro and it was pretty boring sitting in the parking lot ............ until .....
First..... a car pulled up a couple spaces away and this kid about 8 or 9 jumps out of the car pointing to the Camaro and doing the happy dance. He was talking to what was probably his mother and grandmother and pointing at the car, and his mouth was running about 90+. He made two circles around it and them stopped and just stood there and looked at it like he had just seen something magical. They headed on into the store and he almost broke his neck staring backwards at the car. Then .... a minivan pulls up behind the Camaro. It stopped, the windows rolled down, and three people inside started taking pictures. It must have been the Hobby Lobby parking lot paparazzi. A few minutes later a truck parks a few spots down and the father points to the Camaro and two kids, maybe about 6 or 7 just went nuts. One of them walked over to the car, studied it real hard, looked around and gently reached out and touched the autobot emblem and smiled. Normally I would have been a bit worried about someone that close to the car but this kid looked like he'd just received a blessing from Obi-Wan Kenobi. I'm sure he's at school this morning telling his buddies that he actually got to touch a Transformer. |

Great story. You should have hit the auto-start and gave him something to talk about.

The camaro does amaze the kids and adults. It is entertaining to watch indeed.
We are heading to A&M Wednesday to pack up my Daughter's "stuff". We have a climate controlled storage unit up there. Most "stuff" will go in there.

haha, cool. They needed to equip the Transformer editions with Bumblebee's voice and really startle the kids. Oh wait, he only talks through the radio in the movie ?!

That's great! Kids rock. Good on you for letting them have the moment they'll probably remember for the rest of their lives.

I would probably react like these kids if Megan Fox was sitting in the passenger seat.

I drove my oldest daughter to her soccer game on Saturday. We took Bumblebee and were running a couple of minutes late so all the other parents and kids were already at their respective fields.
After the game, heading towards the car, I notice a few kids (and parents) looking at the car. I can hear them talking about it having Transformer logos on it and such. So as I get closer I hit the unlock on the key fob and, thanks to RideTones, Bumblebee made his transforming sound. There were a whole lot of shocked looks from kids by the car and heads snapping around from those that weren't. Needless to say, I had to "unlock" the car several more times for them.
