1LE curb rash fixed

So I got my car with pretty bad curb rash on all 4 of the wheels and never really had the chance to fix them until now. just sharing the paint supplies i used to help others later on. i know there is already a sticky thread with info on the paint but i didn't see the stuff i used and mine came out damn near identical to factory paint. I pretty much watched a bunch of youtube videos on the process and went at it so I'm not going to explain everything i did.

I used Rust-oleum self etching primer and VHT wheel matte clear coat purchased from local autozone.

i got the black paint from amazon. just search WA8555 paint and get the "factory pack" 19423 which is the GM WA8555 equivalent. was pretty expensive at about $22 a can but it came out really good. used about a can a wheel for everything.

ill post 2 of the wheels i did so far side to side and then one of the painted wheels next to the original paint on a wheel i haven't done yet to get an idea of match up.

hope this helps someone

Rims look good. How do you like those tires?

Thanks, Not sure yet, I just had them mounted before fixing the curb rash. I've heard good things about them so we'll see. I got them on all 4 corners.

How did you determine the number for the base coat?

Well done! I may have to do this myself before too long. I'm amazed at how easily the paint comes off of these wheels. I noticed some small white spots on mine and tried to scrape them off with my fingernail only to realize the white spots were actually the rim underneath and I had just scraped off more paint.
