You will need filler, best to have it done. Paint and plastic are missing, just paint won't make it look like it never happened.....

It should be able to be spot done, that small.....however we know several OCD guys here who will demand a full panel repaint.....LOL

If you don't want to fill in the "hole" try Dr. Color Chip. It wont solve the ding aspect but might be able to at least cover up the black.

I use it for little rock chips.

That being said, this looks like it might be out of Dr. CC's league.

Too late for this now. But when I installed my dark tail lamps I put masking tape on my rear bumper just in case. It takes some good pulling force to get the lights out. The masking tape saved me when I took out the driver side lamp. It gouged the masking tape off almost exactly like it did to your paint but it saved my paint/bumper, with zero damage.

I also used tape painters tape when I installed the led reverse lights always better then being the paint.

Dr colour chip works great depending on if you can live with the In dent though it will not fill this as Glen says.

I would have it filled in and painted if it was me. I'm somewhat OCD lol
